Hope, not fear

Therapy revelation talk…

The other day I had a session with my therapist @nourishedforlife_relationships and I was talking through some of my fears.

Fears in my relationships, my future, my business and new ventures.

I find therapy so good to air these fears and attempt to dissolve or dismantle them.

And this little twist in how I look at things has helped to do just that.

I thought this little tidbit fit in really well with my ‘daring’ moodboard for the month. The moodboard was designed to inspire me to bold and daring as I go after what I want. To reach out to brands I want to work with. To put my work out there. Both my artwork and modelling. And to be unapologetically myself.

What my therapist Jo said to me was to switch the lens to one of fear to one of hope.

When she reminded me of this, I felt lighter. My focus moved from what could go to wrong to focusing on all the things that could go right. The things I hope will happen.

Then my choices reflect hope, and not fear. It’s a different place to form a foundation from.

So I’m choosing not to react with fear, and instead, I will focus on hope.
